TERMS OF USE
Last updated: April 2026 · Bands For Brothers CIC (Company No. SC834674)
The basics
By using bandsforbrothers.co.uk you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We may update these terms — the date above shows the last change.
What this site is — and isn't
Bands For Brothers CIC is a peer-support and signposting community for UK men's mental health. We are not a crisis service, a medical provider, a counsellor or a therapist. Nothing on this site is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are in crisis, call 999 or Samaritans on 116 123.
House rules — what you can post
When you post on BrothersBoard, A Brother Said, or any community feature, you agree:
- You're 16 or older.
- You won't share content that names, identifies or attacks anyone else.
- You won't share methods of self-harm or suicide, or instructions for harming others.
- You won't post hate speech, harassment, threats, spam, or illegal content.
- You won't impersonate anyone or pretend to be a medical/crisis professional.
- You'll respect that everyone here is human and going through something.
Anonymity, but not unaccountable
We don't ask for your name. But every post is tied to a random device ID stored in your browser. If a post is reported, our moderators can hide it. If we believe content puts a real person at imminent risk, we may share information with emergency services or law enforcement.
Removing your content
You can ask us to remove any post you made — email hello@bandsforbrothers.co.uk with the post text or your device ID. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
Content you grant us
When you post anonymously, you grant Bands For Brothers CIC a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display the words on this site and (with all identifying details removed) on our social media channels as part of the #TalkToday campaign. You can withdraw this licence by asking us to remove your post.
The shop
Wristbands and merchandise are sold via Shopify. Shopify's terms apply to checkout and payment. UK consumer rights apply.
Liability
We try to keep the site accurate, safe and online — but we provide it "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we're not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on community content. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
